This year we are dedicating a whole sermon series to each of our five Core Values. Our first two Core Values are more vertically focused on our relationship with God, “growing in God.” Our last three Core Values are more horizontally focused on the mission of Christ by “investing in others.”
Our fifth Core Value at MCC is “Connecting with People: Building real relationships with others through compassion, service, and support.” Because the stakes are high we will intentionally build relationships, earning respect and permissions, so that we can gain a window of influence. We will build stable relationships founded on trust where we can provide a safe environment to encourage and help give endurance. We will do so through following Jesus’ example of having compassion, offering service, and giving support.
