Making a Difference… At My Work / School

Making a Difference... At My Work / SchoolOur Summer Series of sermons will focus on “Making a Difference” in various circles of our life.  Working from the inner most circle of our personal life and as the circles widen to our family, our work/school, and finally to our society.  Through all of these series we will be modeling our life after being like Jesus.

As Christians…

  • We were created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness (Eph. 4:24)
  • To love like Jesus (Eph. 5:2)
  • To live like Jesus (1 John 2:6)
  • To do what Jesus said to do (Luke 6:46)
  • To be formed into the image of Jesus (Rom. 8:29; 2 Cor. 3:18).

In August we will be moving out another circle from the center and looking at how to make a difference at our work or at our school.  We spend about 40 hours a week with those we work with and about 30 hours a week with those we go to school with.  That’s over 2,000 hours over the period of a year for those in the work force and over 1,000 hours for our students in school.  You don’t have to get on a plane and travel to Haiti, India, or Egypt to find a mission field, you enter a mission field every Monday at your work and your school.  This month is designed to help us gain that perspective and to give us some practical “how to” advice to make a difference at our work or our school.
