Not a Fan

A fan is defined as “an enthusiastic devotee, or admirer of a sport, pastime, celebrity, etc.” A follower is defined as “a person who imitates, copies, or takes as a model or ideal.” Jesus called followers, not fans. But the problem is: the church is filled with a lot of people who think they are followers, but really they are fans. This series is from Kyle Idelman of Southeast Christian Church, it is a church-wide journey through the thoughts and angles he shares in his book, “Not a Fan.” MCC, are we going to be a church of dedicated followers or just fans?
