With the recent event of the Supreme Court’s decision recognizing Same-Sex Marriage on a Federal level, and with the flood of media and social media surrounding this topic, it seemed to be an important topic to cover on a Sunday morning. You will inevitably be involved in many different conversations with many different people (if you already haven’t been) on this subject. There is a very difficult balance that we need to maintain in our conversations. A balance between treating others with respect, dignity, and honor, sharing grace, mercy, and love, while standing firm on what the Bible says about this topic, and sorting out where to best spend our emotional energy so that we can help to influence positive change and movement for God’s Kingdom. In this sermon my main goal is to aid us all in these conversations, so that we can better represent Christ.
