Not a Fan
A fan is defined as “an enthusiastic devotee, or admirer of a sport, pastime, celebrity, etc.” A follower is defined as “a person who imitates, copies, or takes as a model or ideal.” Jesus called followers, not fans. But the problem is: the church is filled with a lot of people who think they are followers, but really they are fans. This series is from Kyle Idelman of Southeast Christian Church, it is a church-wide journey through the thoughts and angles he shares in his book, “Not a Fan.” MCC, are we going to be a church of dedicated followers or just fans?
Alongside the Sunday messages we also have small groups going through additional study material based off of this book. If you’d like to join one of these small groups simply fill out the contact form by clicking here.
