"Gettin' Ripped "

We are well into the summer of 2010. Grilled hamburgers can be smelled from the neighbor’s back porch on a Friday night. The sound of lawn mowers are heard in the distance. And the site of people jogging, or riding a bike has become common once again.
During the summer it seems that we hear a lot about getting out and getting in shape, or working to stay fit. Summer foods include fresh fruits and vegetables. The desire to eat a more healthy increases.
But what about our spiritual “fitness?” Is there a season or time that we focus on that more than others? With all of the talk of physical fitness, shouldn’t there be a time to talk about spiritual fitness? Well the time is now. Come join us smack-dab in the middle of our summer months as we talk about getting spiritually fit in a series called “Gettin’ Ripped!”
