When John was on the island of Patmos he saw a very different image of Jesus. John spent a lot of time with Jesus here on earth. He and Jesus were very close, and he was very familiar with Him. However, when John sees Jesus in the first chapter of Revelation he falls to the ground as though he were dead. So just who IS Jesus now? Without the human shell. Without subjecting Himself to the limitations He did when He came to earth as a man. It is a powerful image packed with potent meaning and relevance to our lives today. Jesus who IS!
